Import MOVINS data

Using the XPS client, you can import preplan information through EDI in UN/EDIFACT MOVINS version 2.0 and 2.1 format.

To import MOVINS 2.0 or 2.1 data:

  1. Open a vessel.

If the required vessel is unavailable, consult your N4 administrator.

  1. From the File menu, select EDI.

  2. In the EDI window, from the Actions drop-down list, select MOVINS 2.0 Import.

  3. Click Begin.

  4. In the Open file dialog box, locate and select the EDI file that you want to import.

  5. Click Open.

The XPS client displays the import status in the EDI window.

If errors occur, see Resolve EDI import errors (on page 1).

  1. When the import is complete, close the EDI window.
